OUR MISSION STATEMENT Llandaff Cathedral is a Christian gathering of the Church in Wales, which is a province of the worldwide Anglican Communion. It is also the seat of the Bishop of Llandaff. The Cathedral is a focus of pilgrimage and spirituality in the Diocese of Llandaff and for the City of Cardiff. Our purpose is therefore to worship God and share the gospel of Jesus Christ. In so doing, we welcome all who come here, irrespective of gender, race, creed or sexuality, in order that we might share and pass on our rich Christian heritage and the joy of Christian faith.

Opening Hours

The Cathedral is open for visitors. Our opening times are: Monday to Friday – 10am to 5.30pm Saturday – 10am to 4pm Sunday – 8.30am to 4pm We have implemented the latest Welsh Government Covid measures which include hand sanitizer stations. Services have also resumed on Sundays at 9.00am and 11.15am. There is usually a Welcomer in the Cathedral to greet visitors and the new Cathedral Guidebook, giving greater detail about the history, architecture and art of the Cathedral can be purchased in the Cathedral Shop. Due to services and events taking place, the Cathedral may have to close at short notice or restrict access. Please check our social media or contact the Cathedral Office for up to date information. Wheelchair access is provided at the East and West ends of the Cathedral. Car parking in the area of the Cathedral is free and unrestricted. There is also a car park off Llandaff High Street which is free for the first two hours. It is a 10-minute train journey from Cardiff Central to Fairwater, with a 10 to 15 minute walk from Fairwater to the Cathedral. Bus routes 25, 63 or 66 from Westgate Street (alongside the Millennium Stadium) take 25 to 30 minutes to travel to the stop at the Black Lion pub, which is near Llandaff High Street. Guided tours can be arranged for groups and schools.
